Built-ins: Listening Room
We enjoyed building this space for our customer to enjoy listening to music with his son. The custom built-ins include
- two large drawers designed to hold his vinyl record collection
- two general purpose drawers and cabinets
- a locking liquor cabinet in the upper left
- and the upper right houses gaming consoles and audio equipment
The block wall has been sealed and painted. The floor is newly installed luxury vinyl planks, perfect for the slightly below grade basement room. The window to the right has an oversized stool that doubles as a working shelf, built from spruce and stained to match the countertops of the built-in. On the left you’ll see a hanging shelf, mounted to the ceiling with black pipe, for displaying collectables. And we installed some new lighting to appropriately and subtly light the space.
